    Fiber!!!

    I'm 4 months out and I still have issues. Was told to take pears instead of apples. Pears work awesome have to have one everyday. I take restoralax every other day, similar to miralax.

    Coffee?

    I notice a lot of people saying that they are drinking coffee. Is that decafe or caffeine? I stopped drinking caffeine (Diet Coke and coffee) about 6 weeks ago. I want caffeine but was told not to. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Busy days question

    I'm still struggling with that. I'm 8 weeks today and I hate cooking but have no choice. I work from home and find it hard to get off the phone some days.   7. I'm 47 had surgery in December, so far everything is great. Didn't have much pain and eating has been fine. Never threw up had slight nauseous here and there . Too early for hair loss and skin but suspect I'll have/ go through both Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Rash from protein drinks

    @@Newlife2017 I'm still doing Protein shake, cottage cheese 1 % 16 gr per 1/2 cup, yogurt light and fit is 12 grams per container 80 calories. Lentils and ground turkey. The allergy pill helps too. My doctor says don't itch. I laughed she says once u start u can't stop and it's true. chicken and I also drink soy milk which 7 grams protein.     Rash from protein drinks

    Interesting I thought It was just me. I think my Vitamins and adding Vitamin from Protein is not helping my doctor says I have Chronic hives. Really??? Claritin and hydrocortisone cream 1% helps. Seems to come and go. I only use Premier Protein and a whey Protein Powder for mixing in stuff. Is your rash like hives? So itchy.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    December bypass buddies

    I've been asked to stop drinking Protein shakes or using powder. Get protein from food. It's hard for sure. Most days I still need to top up with a shake. Cottage cheese has 16 grams for 1/2 cup (1%) Greek light and fit yogurt is 12 grams . Lentils have lots of protein.   13. I was in the hospital less then 24 hours. It was super hard for me coming out of the anaesthetic. I did have pain but pain meds worked. I had gas pain the first few hours on my chest then never had anymore. I was swallowing pills within hours and drinking Water. It hurt a bit in my stomach in the beginning but learnt soon that my sips were not small enough. No nausea, throwing up or dumping. Feel pretty lucky. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Drinking Water

  16. @ I get what you mean by giving you energy. I feel the sAme way. Not sure energy is the right word but your body feels good, alittle high I suppose. I had to get regular Tylenol vs extra strength as it made me sleepy too. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. @@nlmguerrero I feel the same way, so far I have had no issues. Although I can't eat much. I was wondering did they take enough lol. Hearing everyone with their issues I was wondering what's wrong with me? I'm on puréed now and again so far so good. I was even swallowing pills couple hours after surgery.   18. I wasn't given oxy I wish lol, I was told to take 2 pills every 6 hours. I did that for 3 days then started only taking 1 for about 4 more days and once a day vs every 6 hours. I have a low tolerance for pain. I noticed that it was discomfort vs pain and Tylenol worked. now I'm not taking anything. Surgery dec 8 Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    How are you managing hunger post op?

    @@Christina.Rose. I had mine dec 8th I don't ever feel hungry, yet. I'm even still on full fluids. I still have cravings or wants, chips chocolate Pasta, rice food lol but I'm definately not hungry. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. @@Tommy910 from a fellow Canadian you story is very inspiring. Thanks for sharing. It's amazing how much you have lost so far. I truly hope things go smoothly for you the rest of the way. I had my sleeve surgery on dec 8th, my highest weight was 432, and CW 359. It's a long road to take. Slow and steady! Looking forward to hearing the rest of your journey. Go Canucks go!   23. @@harmony5001 i was a mess leading up to my surgery. Particularly the two days before. I was crying all the time. I'm a single mom and was worried about a lot of things. Almost bailed but truly glad I didn't. Coming out of surgery was difficult for me for a couple of days but other then that it's been really good. Very blessed and lucky.     Post menopausal women only please!

    Im not post yet, getting there. however I have endometrial hyperplasia so I'm on progesterone and then was told to have a mirena so that it's more localized. Hoping to stop the pills soon. Anyway with both I shouldn't bleed at all, after surgery I did have some not a lot for about a week. It's finally stopped. Freaked me out at first as it's been a couple years without.
