Helpful tools for after surgery

My surgery is scheduled for Dec 27th, I've completed everything for approval, now I'm just nervous and waiting. Some people have given tips to avoid discomfort after surgery: gas-x, children's sippy cups to avoid gulping, and baby spoons for eating. I was wondering if anyone had any other tips? I'm 29 years old, 5'2" and have about 100-110lbs to lose.

I was just sleeved on 11/22. I'd be happy to share what I found helpful and glad I had on hand. Gas strips, comfy throw blanket and pillow for hospital, for home: premier Protein, sugar free Jello and popsicles, Tylenol, mylanto or galvescon (this was a lifesaver) liquid coats the heartburn if occurs, Vitamin Patches (multi vitamin and b12), lots of pillows. Hope this helps! Good luck to you. Expect the worst but hope for the best ❤️

Everyone is different of course but I never felt the need for the baby utensils. I do use smaller plates and bowls though because there's no need for the full size ones with the small amount of food I eat. I did make sure to have premiere premixed Protein shakes on hand and I had ordered some protein chicken broth from Amazon for the times when I couldn't handle the sweet of the shakes. The sugar free Jello and popcycles help when the need to feel like your actually eating something comes. The best investment I made was a good quality kitchen scale. I am about 14 months out and still weigh everything and probably will weigh everything before eating forever. Best of luck to you.
