calling all December 2016 sleevers!

I made a group called "December 2016 Sleevers!" I would love for everyone who has a surgery date in December to join! lets be a great support system for each other and go on this journey to a better us with great friends. Share our success and failures along the way, cheer each other on, wether you already have support from your family and friends or from nobody at all like I've unfortunately seen from some, lets make sure we definitely have each other to lean on! btw they say you normally gain weight around the holidays, are we crazy?! haha

  • Hi bariatric fan... surgery was done yesterday. The gas pain was awful yesterday and kept me nauseated. I was feeling really bad. But I walked and used my incentive spirometer for breathing exercise

Hi QueenBX.... they did give me gas x plus I brought my own. It helped some but walking and breathing exercises are the best. I fell asleep today due to nausea med. plain Water make me gag so nurse said do flaored water pack and I have been doing so . I will def parlay for you and I'm sure you will do great. I have 6 lap sites that are really small . I'm just sore but this too shall pass.

So glad you are doing okay! I will join you on the losers bench tomorrow. Will they let you have Gas-X strips? I hear a lot of people say that it helped them after surgery. I will keep you in my prayers!!

Gas X strips really helped me. The peppermint helped with nausea, and they kept my mouth wet since the entire first day and night I wasn't allowed to drink a thing.

They did help with the gas, I took 3 at a time to feel relief. But walking walking walking and some more walking helped a ton. Best of luck tomorrow.

My sleeve was done on the 6th. I spent a lot of time walking the halls, about everything 90 minutes-2 hours. That really helps. Or if that is too much, then try just standing for a couple of minutes

My surgery is 12/22, I am so nervous- I started my liquid diet today and I am so afraid of getting a hunger headache. I am trying to stay as hydrated as possible.
