  1. So I had my surgery on 12/22 and had a horrible night that night with sweats- it's ok because I was probably wheeling off the anesthesia. Next day, I go down to have my upper GI and feel real faint. I passed the upper GI but when I'm waiting in imaging to go back- I tell my husband to call the nurse because I was having lots of cold sweats and wasn't feeling good. Turns out they called a code rescue ( great team at south Miami hospital) and they rush me to CT to see if I might have a clot. Turns out no clot, thank God, but I did have a hematoma from my suture and it was bleeding. Turns out that my hemoglobin went all the way down to 7.3. I'm up to 7.9. Of course, I also get my monthly visitor making the situation a little more grave because I have more blood loss. Well, I was sent home yesterday 12/26 still very pale but trying my hardest to get better. Was wondering if anyone had the same or similar complications? Thank you all for contributions in advance. I was sleeved on the 15th

Great to hear. I hope for your speedy recovery. We made some lentil Soup (blenderized and strained) and that is real good to replenish hemoglobin. I also made a juice with apple, orange, kale, carrots and beets. I plan to sip on that this afternoon. I got clearance from Dr before and I think you should too. PLEASE don't give up on this site..It has truly helped me with what I needed to help me pre and post. I look for the positive feedback, read ALOT of people before n after for encouragement and yes I have scrolled pass some posts that tend to degrade n move away from what is asked...because I'm not here for negative jabs (even if not intended) because this process is hard (in all phases) emotionally n physically n information is plentiful (good n bad)... I encourage you to still read post to see what can n can not help you in your journey..I wish you the best proud of you already. Minimal sagging without plastics?

What is a waist trainer? Sent from my XT1585 using the BariatricPal App Here in Miami, it's seems like there is a little Colombian store selling wait trainers in every corner. Why don't you google waist trainers, meanwhile I get you information on the one I had. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Minimal sagging without plastics?

When I gave birth to my 10lb son, as soon as I could I put on a waist trainer. I plan on doing the same things as fast as I could. It helped me with the sagging back then. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Lmfao! You all are incredible. Text book version of cyber "mean girls". You all don't support- you talk down on newbies. You should have at least acknowledged that I corrected you, the vet, with facts. But then again, what can I say about a person like you. You all can have your forum this is worse than middle school. You probably got picked on as a child and now you take it out on people here. Lol. Because of people like you people commit suicide, you don't know what a person is going through, when you attack them on social platform but hey I guess that's way it goes here. I'll can tell you and your clique are strong, sad that it's useless. ???? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Noted. However, I'm not thin skinned, I just now realize that in this forum I can not have my opinion, instead, I have to ride the band wagon and that I'm not going to do. Regretfully, I came on here for support and it has been the total opposite. I thank everyone for their time but this is just not for me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

First of all, a sleeve is not a pouch. Second, carbonation does not stretch the sleeve. That's a myth. I drink carbonation and at over 2 years out, I have the same restriction I've had for a year. My surgeon and many others agree that a sleeve will not necessarily 'stretch'. And to the original question, no, you should not drink Coke, because Coke is filled with empty calories, which by far is worse than carbonation and the number one reason people regain. So there's that. @@Babbs Just as an FYI, the American Society of Bariatric Surgery calls the sleeve a pouch, not too much error in my post. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I know virtually nothing about you or anybody else on this forum here. But I do know about forum interactions, having been on various ones for 20 years now, as a participant and as a moderator. The written word is woefully inadequate to convey the full meaning of a person's communication. It is always helpful to ask for clarification, and to assume the best rather than the worst, until proven otherwise. It will not harm you at all to do that, and it might very well help. Take out the "root" and I will be right there with you - on rare occasion, of course. So starting of a reply with "first of all" is to be taken lightly, no. I'm sorry there are many ways to type things- this is how I interpreted it. If you all know her from before and accept her tone, ok. I have already stated in multiple posts that I might have misinterpreted her tone. However, I keep on getting tagged on a whole bunch of lectures, thanks but I think we all need to move on now. Have a great night everyone. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Guys, I would hate to derail from the original topic again, but when someone starts a post with "First of all...", I can hear the neck snap.. LOL Nonetheless, I thank you all for the wonderful advice and will definitely look forward to learning from all of you and your experiences... Have a great day! It might be that its my first liquids day and I'm sensitive.....

I'm not trying to piss anyone off. However, I think that the well educated and experienced like Babbs should be less impulsive. Maybe I misunderstood her tone. I'm here to make friends and be corrected( I'm ok with that). I'm very new to this!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
