i'm an instagram noob... i made a private account and i thought i didn't link it to my facebook but it kept on recommending that I follow facebook friends.

does anyone know how to make it completely separate from facebook? once i figure out the privacy settings, i want to start using my instagram account to follow others and share my journey i'm going to look for you kandice!

if you're using the same email for fb as you do when you sign up for instagram, it will pull your suggested friends. it also does this if you allow access to your contacts (search your phone book). BUT you dont HAVE to link it to facebook. it wont ever post on facebook unless you have it selected in the individual post. hope that helps!

I haven't made a IG account just for this journey, I'm not too sure I will. Maybe once everything with my surgery is approved I will but for now I've just been using my personal account and following A LOT of VSG accounts. I will follow yours too. :-)
