Hi all

Hope everyone is feeling good and fighting fit..........

Have lurked a little on here. I sure there are a lot who do.

Just wanted to say hello.

Sleeved on the 14th Oct and apart from re learning what my body wants/needs its been pretty easy to cope with...... so far!

thanks for sharing. I'm going in on the 9th, and mostly what I thought no about is how I'm going to cope.. this helped put me at ease! Have you lost a gods amount of weight so far?

I found coping quite easy after the first week. Follow the advice given by your team, don't rush things and don't let your brain overcome what your body actually wants. The mental side of things is the key here I think. If you get yourself into the right mindset all will be well.

Good luck for the 9th

Hi SK101,

Apologies for the late response, I've been super busy workwise recently and just ignored the board.

Welcome, glad you're doing ok and you've found the board valuable, I did/do too. It's great to have somewhere to bounce things off, as well meaning as people are, they don't understand fully.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
