Is this normal?

First post here. I had the VGS surgery on Friday (10/28). I am struggling to get fluids and Protein down but keep working on it and it's getting slowly better.

The weird thing is my weight went up on the scale this morning by two pounds.... is this a normal occurrence so soon after surgery?

Any advice would be great. Thanks.

Yes. Your body is likely retaining Water with the swelling from the surgery. My doc says it's a little surgery on the outside, but a BIG one on the inside.

Seriously, stay off the scales the first couple of weeks, and just focus on getting your fluids and Protein in. The rest will come.
