Vitamins suddenly making me nauseous

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone! Hope everyone is having a very nice Halloween!

So I'm having this issue and wondering if it's something I'm doing or my body is acting crazy.

I'm just over three weeks post op, getting my Proteins in and most days getting Water in ( though for the past few days, I've been struggling at 55oz)

I've been taking caltrate chewable with Vitamin d and flintstones complete chewable with no issue.

Since Saturday however, immediately after taking them I become so nauseous and close to vomiting.

Anyone else have this happen? Any suggestions on what I could do to prevent this?

Thanks In advance!

The Vitamin Patches are awesome. No nausea, don't take up room in my stomach, easy.

B Vitamins always make me queasy, especially on an empty stomach. I found that when I used the chewable vitamins right after surgery the same thing happened. I went back to swallowing the regular Vitamins and now I'm fine. I was able to tolerate non-chewables about a month after surgery, but everyone's different so you may want to consult your surgeon.

At about three weeks I started having transient nausea, sometimes after taking pills. I'm phasing out of that this week I think/hope.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
