19 days post op and need some help

Hi everyone,

I was sleeved 10/10, so I am 19 days post op today. I have been really struggling with the food situation. My doctor told me to start the puréed foods stage and when I feel "comfortable" I can start eating solids. There is so much conflicting information out there that I don't know if I will stretch my tummy by eating solids too soon. Any advice would help.

  • Stay with purees or soft foods. The important thing will be to measure portion sizes and stick with recommended amounts. Take it slow - there's no rush.

I was sleeved on 10/14. I have been eating applesauce, cottage cheese, yogurt, butternut squash soup, sweet potato-apple soup, carrot ginger soup, and 1-2 PREMIER Shakes a day. My biggest struggle is getting the liquids in. I went back to school after the first week ( I am in bed by 8 P.M.!) and there is never enough time to sip, sip, sip....and then run to the ladies room! Best Wishes to you.

I did purée for 2 weeks before being cleared to eat soft solids . I saw the dr at every transition of food stage. I purred chicken and beans with flavor to get my protein in.
