Pain medication

Im 3wks out and im having this huge pain lower left side and towers the middle of my stomach. Idk if this is normal but is it normal to still be taking pain medication this far out? I know we all heal differently but i get this tightness even drinking. Im eating with my infant spoon so im not over eating. I just dont know. I went to dr and i saw his PA and she said things are fine. But should i have this burning feeling inside of me
