Switching surgery teams post op

So my nutritionist is a ding dong and is extremely useless. She goes by the book regardless of who she's dealing with and uses all the same numbers and rules. I only met with nutritionist before surgery and to me my surgeon is most important. Can you stay with surgeon and use different nutritionist outside the practice if you need to?
