Water intake

Hey! I'm 8 days post op, and I've been able to drink Water like I used to. I can have multiple sips at a time with no pain or anything. And cold water taste sooooooo good to me! Is this normal?

Can anyone else drink water like this?

PS I had the Bypass.

Some people have more swelling than others and it takes them longer to drink water. You healed quickly

Totally normal. I was able to drink without issue by day 4. By two weeks, I could gulp Water, drinking as much as I want.

I just celebrated reaching four weeks post RNY. I was heavily restricted to 1 oz. each 15 minutes for the first 10 days, however, after that, I have had absolutely no problem consuming a high volume of liquids. I try to base my water/liquid intake on proper hydration levels adjusted to my gender, age, height and weight and by doing that my ultimate target is over double the much trumpted 64 oz target. There are numerous hydration calculators available online.

Hi all. Just had my bypass on Monday morning 10/17. I'm checking my Water intake log. I know I should be drink 64 oz per day but it seems I doing just about half with water, crystal lite, Powerade and Popsicle. I feel really bloated and minimal pain. Should I be worry?
