I live alone. I had my parents out for a few days but frankly, could have and should have done it without them. It was good to have a ride home from the hospital but I was pretty good after that. Didn't really need any help. However, your mileage may vary. I did shop ahead of time so had all my protein drinks, liquids, pureed foods all ready to go

I live alone but my fiancé stayed for 2 weeks. I felt pretty good after a couple days except for the one incision on the left hurt a good but but not enough for meds
