ITCHING

So, my surgery was nearly 2 months ago but I've had major itching on my abdomen and lower breasts. (Breasts being the most intense) I will scratch until they are raw. Incisions are healed. Skin isn't dry. Anyone else experience this?

  • I've struggled with it too. My problem is moisture for me. I try to keep my skin dry, powders, anti-perspirants...I wash and dry it a lot. Frustrating. Sent from my XT1650 using the BariatricPal

  • yup, for me itchy arms, upper, lower, doesn't matter. I try to latter on the body cream rather than itch. But its so weird.

I think I had a reaction to the iodine. One week after surgery I woke up with my abdomen itching like crazy, I put on lotion and went on with my day. I actually had my first post op appointment that evening. Doc said everything looked good. That night I got worse, the next day my torso was covered in tiny itchy bumps. Two days of benadryl and finally went and got shots. The only areas were where the iodine touched my skin. It's been 3 weeks and I still have a little itching..

Good luck.
