  1. Normal nerves! If you could have done it, you would have already. Just do an internet search of diet success rates. My single regret is that I didn’t do this sooner. Ultimately, it’s up to you. I’d choose this again 1000x over.
  2. Personally, I would not choose either. Too many complications with both. If you have that much to lose, I would consider sleeve or bypass!
  3. Hormones. I’m the same, PCOS and post surgery my cheeks are always flushed. Just wait until you’re further post-op and the libido kicks in HIGH gear. I have a “glow” all day. Pink cheeks. It’s almost embarrassing. LOL. And it does not matter if the rest of me is freezing either!

    Belly Sleepers

I slept on my stomach the first night in the hospital. Freaked my nurse out!
  5. Almost 3 months post-op and hover around 600-700 per day. I don't want to stall out or ruin my metabolism going too low for too long!
  6. Melissa's story on my 600lb life is the reason I got surgery as well. My HW was only 290, but I could see myself in her story and never wanted to get there. It shows the real struggle, including the addiction and failure of the surgery. Sometimes I get SO angry at the people on the show until I put myself in their shoes and realize how hard it is to make the best choices (even after surgery.) whether you're 200lbs or 600, it's still a rotten, horrible feeling to be overweight and have a food addiction. Props to them for being real and brave enough to go on TV.
  7. I would be concerned if you gained 3lbs above your surgery day weight, but not if you have been losing and just fluctuated up a bit.!
  8. I'm 2 months post op and only have a cup occasionally. I was tired of spending the money and having the addiction to caffeine. I enjoy a cup here or there but no frequent or daily use. And wow! It actually works when I do drink it.

    Sleeping after surgery

The nurse walked in and literally said "I don't think you can do that." She actually went and talked with the surgeon and then came back and said it wouldn't hurt anything and was fine if that's how I was comfortable. It was pretty funny.

    Sleeping after surgery

I slept on my stomach the first night in the hospital! Die hard stomach sleeper for life.
  11. Agreed you should call doc. It might be hormone related as well but better to be safe.
  12. I literally would not pick either. It's like asking what complication I want more. Sorry to be blunt, but that is my opinion.

Missing 1 Year of 3 Year Weight History

My insurance said they required 5 years, and then approved me without proof of a single one. Don't stress, these Bariatric centers are very skilled at getting approvals!

    Cream based soups

My plan says 2 oz (during the first 2 weeks) but not over 4oz. This was specific to the full liquids which would include cream soups, yogurt, pudding, etc.

    Orbera Balloon Next Week!!!!!

Oh my! I'm so sorry that happened to you. Why on earth would they ever send you home at a pain scale of 9? Honestly, I hope they give you your money back. Best wishes and I'm glad your feeling better now!

    I'm sooo hungry.. or HANGRY

So glad I'm not the only one who watches this stuff! It's almost like an addiction... I can't stop! I keep telling everyone I'm going to become a food snob now from having so little space in my tummy and watching these shows.

    I'm sooo hungry.. or HANGRY

Hi new. I had my bypass on 5/1 and after about 3-4 days I seriously thought I was hungry. I was glued to cooking shows and Facebook food tutorials and craving everything in sight. I finally realized that it was all head hunger. I was taking sips of water because anything bigger made me too full, yet somehow I was hungry? No way. Not saying this is the same for you, but it was definitely my realization. Make sure you are taking a PPI as well! Good luck and keep me posted on your progress! Love talking with people who had my surgery date.

    Tomorrow is it

Good luck! You'll do great. I had my bypass on 5/01 and I have no regrets. Be kind to yourself the first few days, even when your mind "asks WFT did you just do!"
  25. Also, I would ask for an anti nausea med too.
