Day 3 post op with Diarrhea

I've never posted on here before and I'm hoping you can help. My plan calls for clear liquids for a week and I've started having diarrhea. Is this normal? I've only had Water, sugar free Jello, maybe 4oz of Vitamin zero water, and 4 oz of Isopure. I'm working so hard at staying hydrated, this cannot be helping. Has anyone else experienced this? I've mostly read about people that are constipated. TIA!

I've had non stop diarrhea since day 5. It seems to be related to the protein supplements. I've yet to figure it out. I'll keep you posted. I'm about12 days post op. Lots of suggestions to try different protien and pro biotics. Good luck.

After RNY gastric bypass surgery I became lactose intolerant. Anytime I drank milk or products that contain lactose, it was an instant trip to the bathroom with diarrhea. This condition lasted for around 2 months. So I stopped drinking milk. Some Protein shakes contain lactose so beware.

Are you RNY or Sleeve? I was soooo constipated after my sleeve (9/12) it took me almost 2 weeks to poo and it was miserable - even after taking softeners. Consider yourself lucky! ???? Make sure you compensate with extra fluids, though...to avoid dehydration. Hope you feel better soon.
