    I know that you can not swallow gum or pieces of a mint. Why don't you try a mouth rinse until you can ask your surgeon if you can have gum or mints?

    I am now a week out since my surgery. I asked my doctor if I could chew gum as well and she told me no because you can bring air in your sleeve by chewing. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal

    My surgery was on October 4th. Just curious if I can have sugar free gum or mints at this stage. Just something to get the yucky taste out of my mouth. Thanks!
