Phone service

Tomorrow is surgery day for me. I'm wondering if tmobile works in Tijuana? I'm thinking I might just go buy a throw away phone so I can communicate with my family. What have others done?

    Look up the international plans on your carrier's website. You can probably sign up for temporary service without the roaming charges.

    Went to the Bahamas a few months ago. I checked with Verizon prior to going, they had "special cheaper plans for international cruise ships", it was outrageous. You get billed boocoo for all incomming, outgoing, and voicemail. I left the phone on Airplane mode while out to sea and just kept in touch through Facebook, texting, via the free on-board wifi. Heck if you have free wifi and FB, I am pretty sure they even have calling/video calling through Messenger.

    They likely have WiFi at the facility so you can email. I have to bike with a Samsung and they offer WiFi calling which allows me to call home over WiFi from any foreign location
