I only pureed a few days before I was over it. I am able to really shred tuna and chicken and then I also cut into tiny pieces and chew chew chew until food becomes liquid.

I'm 7 days post op. And begin puree next week. I really don't think I will be able to stomach that just cause of texture. Any advice or recipes would be awesome. Thanks

I ate Beech-Nut chicken baby food and seasoned it a bit then a little mashed potato got my small Cuisinart food processor. And eggs with a little skim milk cooked in a non stick pan. Not so boring for me.

I eased into puree with just greek yogurt. Then I would puree tuna or chicken with a little greek yogurt. THis was more appealing to me than pureeing meat with broth. I could handle the idea of a fine texture chicken or tuna salad much better. The flavored pouches of tuna kept it from getting too boring. I also tried it with the flavored pouches of salmon. Do a search for Shelly's ricotta bake also - makes for a nice warm savory change while on purees. Just remember to take it easy - your stomach is very much still healing during this phase and the last thing you want is food bits getting stuck in that staple line. A lot of people also have refried beans with some melted cheese.
