I only pureed a few days before I was over it. I am able to really shred tuna and chicken and then I also cut into tiny pieces and chew chew chew until food becomes liquid.

I'm 7 days post op. And begin puree next week. I really don't think I will be able to stomach that just cause of texture. Any advice or recipes would be awesome. Thanks

I ate Beech-Nut chicken baby food and seasoned it a bit then a little mashed potato got my small Cuisinart food processor. And eggs with a little skim milk cooked in a non stick pan. Not so boring for me.

I eased into puree with just greek yogurt. Then I would puree tuna or chicken with a little greek yogurt. THis was more appealing to me than pureeing meat with broth. I could handle the idea of a fine texture chicken or tuna salad much better. The flavored pouches of tuna kept it from getting too boring. I also tried it with the flavored pouches of salmon. Do a search for Shelly's ricotta bake also - makes for a nice warm savory change while on purees. Just remember to take it easy - your stomach is very much still healing during this phase and the last thing you want is food bits getting stuck in that staple line. A lot of people also have refried Beans with some melted cheese.< /p>

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
