ok, so i am 11 days out of surgery and am feeling fine, and i want to know when others actually got out and started spicing up their workouts. I have been walking but i wanna ride the bike or hop on the elliptical. i was working out every day until my surgery and have always been fairly active and now since im not hurting i feel i should be doing more.

I wish I could hit the "LIKE" button multiple times..........because your post deserves it.

I asked my surgeon the same question........he said to not lift anything heavy for two weeks.........but to keep moving every day. He was all about the treadmill and elliptical as soon as I felt like it......1-3 weeks out.

I second @@Dub - get on that elliptical! Start slowly just to make sure you have the energy you think you have, then you can kill it! I haven't missed a day at the gym since I was 3 weeks out of surgery. It's my favorite part of the day!! Endorphins buzzing, serotonin & dopamine releasing, fat cells being obliterated, muscle being earned...makes me soo happy!!

I have been given a 2kg lifting capacity for the first 4 weeks. No gym work for 6 weeks. I was told that you can run the risk of hernias, adhesions and multiple other complications. I'm listening to this advice. I have seen a friend who didn't and she developed seromas that needed to be drained. No thanks!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
