6 month requirement for revision?

I had LapBand in 2009, but my endo. thinks I should have a revision to sleeve or bypass. Insurance required 6 month supervised diet before my initial surgery. Will they require this again before a revision surgery or does having the band itself negate that requirement?

For me, having the band since 09 was enough for them. They just needed proof of any current issues with my band (minor but it was the 2nd time my band was too tight and my esophagus was dilated).

Got the answer today from my insurance company. If there are complications with my band that deem my revision surgically or medically necessary, there will be no waiting period. Otherwise, 6 months
