First solid food after surgery?

Curious what everyone had that was solid after surgery for food? I'm currently having shakes, yogurt, cottage cheese..but can't stop thinking about solid food!

Wondering if you start bland or what others had?

I made a scrambled egg with cottage cheese. Keeping it moist and soft at first was my approach. And eat really slowly.

Scrambled egg with cheese. It was delish. As for bland, how spices affect folks is very individual. As are most things. Many can't handle eggs. I haven't found anything so far my sleeve doesn't like.

My first "soft solid" was a couple bites of spicy turkey sausage. No problems. I was adding sriracha to my chicken broth within a couple of days after surgery and never had any problems with it.

I had grilled salmon at a cookout. It was delicious.
