I hate to swim for exercise, but I do like Water aerobics. You can adjust the intensity as needed to get your heart rate in your target area. Walking is great, but I like to mix it up a little...u

Does anyone have a good exercise plan that has helped them loose weight and break through plateaus?
My surgery was on Tuesday and I started walking a mile a day on Saturday.
I plan on getting a personal trainer for one day a week and then going to the gym three days week.
At the gym, I plan on walking laps, building up to 5 miles a visit. I also plan on building up to working out on the elliptical machine for an hour.
I know I should weight light but I've never been good at that.
I'm also looking for alternative workout methods that might be more fun and just as effective.
Thanks!
