Jeannie, I can't believe you have to wait 6 months for a fill. That is crazy. Naturally you are not going to lose unless you get a fill. Is there another surgeon you can go to for your fills? Mine started filling me 6 weeks after surgery.

I think you need to talk to your doctor and remind him that you are paying him for this service...if after a reasonable amount of time has passed....(enough to heal 4-6 weeks) and you still have an appetite he needs to give you a fill. The last thing you want is to be frustrated. Take care.

thanks for your reply, i was banded in prague around 2,000 miles away from were i live in England, i think i will speak to the surgeon again and see if he will give me a fill As soon as possible, otherwise i may have to find a surgeon in England to do the fill. thanks for your reply.

I agree...you may have heard him wrong. I can't believe any band in the world would require no fill for 6 MONTHS. It does not even start working for you until you get a fill....that defeats the purpose of it entirely. I could see some doctors waiting 6 weeks. Generally most wait about 30 days before first fill.
