Banded on 8/22

Hi I'm Marsha. I was banded last Wednesday and lost 10 lbs so far.

I'm not feeling great. I keep getting periods of weakness. The nutritionist says I need to increase the protein. I hate the shakes, I've mixed them with milk, yogurt and fruit, but I can't take them. Any suggestions?

You've got to get them in...I used EAS 100% protein powder. It has 23 grams of protein. I mixed it with milk and a half pack of suger-free, fat-free pudding. Let it set in the refrigerator for 15 minutes and eat it like pudding or mousse.

If you don't get your protein, your hair will fall out!!!!--and I'm sure you don't want that!!! We have to do what we have to do!!!! :(

Have you looked into the Isopure drinks in the glass bottles? One bottle has 40 grams of protein and they come in different fruit flavors. I've seen them at GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, those kind of places.

Sorry you are feeling so poorly. I use the Dymatize Elite Rich Chocolate protein powder, but I add about 1 tbsp of Nesquick, and sometimes a tsp of caramel flavoring. The kind of flavoring you buy for coffee, but not the coffeemate, the clear liquid. I also blend with ice cubes. I maybe wrong, but I would rather doctor it up a little and drink it than not get the protein. Nancy54
