If you read up, it can be caused from surgery & anesthetic, not just the weight loss. I know a couple of people who experienced it but they didn't have weight loss surgery, one had a heart bypass can't remember the other one. But it's significant trauma to our bodies & no amount of Protein or Vitamins will prevent it. Some are luckier than others. And a lack of protein and vitamins might make things worse.

Sounds like hair loss is just about unavoidable...........not the best news but I'm still glad I had the surgery. Anyone know about how long the hair loss lasts?
