Phantom poo

Ok dumb question but wondering if anyone else has suffered from the annoying phantom poo. After the diarrhea had settled down and began forming poo again, which was nice don't get me wrong. But now I get sense of urgency to go and nothing. Happens a few times a day. Then usually at the end of the day voila and all is well again.

Anyone else with this? Will it end?

Nope but love the term :phantom pooo:! Could it be constipation? Is your poo more solid than it was before surgery? That may cause your symptoms. I'm just about a year out. Right after surgery I only went #2 every 4-5 days, then was very constipated for a couple of months (rock-hard poo), then got ridiculously gassy for a few months until I practically eliminated breads, and am now back to normal both with regularity and consistency. Sorry if this is TMI.

No different I think from constipation then again maybe. I am having formed stools now but not firm, I'm giggling and shaking my head as I am typing this. Too funny. Just have an urge to go then nothing, then sometimes I get to go, just a weird phase I guess. Oh well.....
