Hello, how exactly do we know if we were approved for the surgery? Do we receive a phone call or a letter in the mail? I recently had my endoscopy and I have a follow up appointment coming in the next few days. I am very excited to start this journey. I'm becoming very anxious waiting. What is the next step? I also go back to college tomorrow! I'm beyond ready to start this... I'm going to start going the gym to lose pre surgery weight.

Approved by insurance? Give them a call - or call your surgeon's office. I wouldn't have known if I didn't call.

I called so I knew right away, but I also got a letter in the mail a few days later so I would have known from the letter if I hadn't called first. Once I got the letter from insurance I called the Dr office to make them fit me in ASAP

My surgeons office took care of it all with the insurance company... Once I completed all requirements they submitted my package and I got an approval in two days.

I'm so frustrated with my insurance rep at the Dr. Office! My last appt with nut was July 22nd here it the 17th of August and she hasn't sent my insurance preautherazation in for approval... I want to cry I been calling every day.
