It seems that my work brings in an insane amount of junk food.< /p>

Ice cream bars last week, Bagels Tuesday, cake Thursday, pizza today and leftover cake...

It is so hard to say no when I have to walk by it multiple times a day and they email about when it's ready and talk about it and you can smell it...

How do you deal?

Just wanted to say I empathize. Not only do I have to walk by and hang out near all that food, since I'm an admin, I'm the one who is supplying all that pizza and donuts and other good stuff! The struggle is real.

I am sure it is difficult. I just keep thinking about a phrase that Weight Watchers said. Nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Drink Water and ignore..ignore. Ya I know easier said then done. I have to tell myself those are the things that got me into this calorie overloaded body that I am trying to change. It really is a temporary pleasure for a lifetime of regrets! Good luck. You can do this. You are a strong woman wanting to make healthy changes!!!!

@@gpjess Write a list of all the things you want to do when you lose weight (wear a sexy dress, ride a rollercoaster, play with my kids/grandkids, go kayaking, etc.) - and keep it on your desktop to look at anytime you are tempted to eat the junk food. You can also write a list of answers to the question we all ask ourselves pre-op "why bother" (when I can't lose weight on my own anyway - I might as well eat a piece of cake) and go through them when you are tempted. Have some broth packets at work so you can drink that instead. The other thing I did a few days at work - I brought in sugar free popsicles and stuck them in the freezer if I had a sweet craving.

Hang in there!!! Stay strong!

These are GREAT suggestions thank you SO much. I failed today and ate the pizza. And apparently it's a big trigger food for me bc I can't have just one piece.

Next time I know better.❤️

For something "sweet" i get large cup ice from sonic. ($0.38) Then add a gre at value orange early rise (crystal light) packet in it put the lid on it shake it up and eat with a spoon... its kinda like having a slushy. I add no Water. Although today I caved with a tiny 1x1 inch sliver of birthday cake.

Donuts are my kryptonite, and I work in IT. ::headdesk:: So far for my pre-op diet I've managed to stay away. After, I'm hoping my desire for them goes down significantly.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
