4 days Post Op

I'm 4 days post op and things are feeling....tight. Is that normal? I think I'd be doing much better if I could get the staples out right now instead of next Wednesday.

I'm also having trouble drinking broth and I'm tired of Water. I did drink about 3/4 of a premier shake today and that ran straight through me (sorry for tmi). Feeling a little frustrated tbh..

This too shall pass. From all that I've heard from others, the first week is rough and then gradually improves. Hang in there!

It gets better each day. Don't be your own doctor. Your stitches are there for as long as your surgeon determined they need to be there. Work on getting in your protien and liquids. They are very important to healing. It takes a lot longer for the swelling to go down and the stomach to heal from the trauma than we can see or feel.
