Port Question-can You Please Advise?

I have been banded for almost 7 weeks now and doing overall really well. However, some days I have port pain. More towards the end of the day if I have been sitting a lot or if I wear a tighter pair of pants it hurts really bad. Any ideas?

Your port is sutured onto your abdominal muscle wall and it seems to take longer to heal than the stomach for some people. If it is really bothersome then talk to your doctor. Otherwise, some times even now if I move wrong or wear tight pants I can still feel a twinge. But, I never had real "pain" just occasional discomfort.

My port is located around my breast bone, so when I wear an underwire bra too long it hurts. Also I have noticed that when I sleep or lay on my stomach for too long it hurts too. I have lost quite a bit of inches/weight in my port area and can feel it very easily. Makes me wonder if when it is all said and done, I may have to have it relocated. Who knows just taking it as it comes.
