Post-Op Food Issue

Hi everyone! I was sleeved 7/18/16, so I'm just over a week post-op. My surgeon has us go right into puréed foods, but I honestly cannot eat. The only thing my stomach will allow me is Water, which I drink plenty of. Protein shakes, yogurt, etc. I can only have maybe 1 oz of. I am worried this will effect my health. I am going to my doctor tomorrow so of course I will ask him about this too, but I figured I would see if anyone else has had this issue.

HW: 250

Pre-op weight: 230

CW: 215

Some people have more internal swelling post-op than others, which means you may not be able to move through the food stages as quickly. It's very important that you don't push your new stomach too far too fast. So, as long as you are getting your water in, don't try to force it too much with the other stuff. Do tiny, baby sips of your protein shakes and try to get in as much protein as you can, but don't overdo it!

I'm having mine tomorrow. My doctor told me to wait until day 11 to start pureed foods. Try to at least continue your protein shakes.
