Two days post-op surgery was 7/20/16

I feel much better than I thought I would! My surgeon said I helped make it easier on my body by losing 46lbs prior to surgery. I would have gone home after just one day but they want to keep a close eye on my blood sugars for an extra day.

Pa ha ha I kid you not they ran an EKG on my because I thought was having a heart attack... It was that gas... It hurt... Oh and I had a 9lbs kid no epidural just fine lmao...

  • great - and it will only get better from here - don't overdo it the first two weeks - allow your body to heal - follow your doctor's instructions on exercise, etc. Walk, walk, walk - sip, sip, sip

  • I had surgery the same day but my gas pain is no joke. I have a very low tolerance for pain and my people think I'm being to dramatic. was released this morning Sent from my SM-G928T using the Bariat

Ok. I'll keep that in mind and walk as much as I can. Have you experienced any change to your senses? I see a few people immediately have negative responses to aromas they used to love and how Protein drinks they loved before surgery makes them nauseous now.

That's crazy how fast things can change. I'm already looking for protein powders that are not fruit flavored because I know I will not be able to last long on those. I hope to find a chicken flavored or something. I'm sure my NUT has some options to try so I will be sure to ask. Have you tried any of the broth type protein? If so, did you like them?
