Pre- Op liquid diet advice!

Recommended Posts

I have just finished my first full day of my Clear liquids diet which I have 13 more days to complete ???? I am extremely proud of myself for staying strong and not giving in to temptation...I keep thinking about my prize at the end of the finish line! How did you guys feel, did you find the pre- op diet a breeze or fairly difficult to handle and/or stick with? What advice could you offer to get me through the next 2 weeks?!

To break up the monotony of sweet Protein, put non flavored Protein in broth. I need that after getting a headache. Headache never came back.

I am 11 days into mine and it was great till yesterday. A coworker brought in food and the smell was making me crazy. So I just had a Protein shake and closed the door till he was done. I have been trying to stay busy/active as much as possible so I don't really think about it to much.

I'm sure you already know to drink plenty of fluids and hot teas. I know the sugar-free Jello and Popsicle helped alot. I just want to add take your Vitamins. Good Luck!!

My doctor said I could have creamy low fat Soups, strained, while on liquids before and after surgery. I just made some cheese Soup and added some of my homemade taco seasoning to it. Yummmm!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
