I just seen this post and I'm on a pre-op liquids diet for 2 weeks. What helps me is I buy soup from Jason Deli and others and drain it it has helped me out. But I was like you at first and my Dr turned me around so yes please stick to your liquid diet. My surgery is next Tuesday

I find it interesting that everyone seems to have a different pre-op diet. My dr's office gave me a meal plan. 600-800 calories a day from Protein and low carb vegi's for all 3 meals or a shake. I have been doing my best to follow the diet but it is loosely written so I'm not always sure I'm on track. I've been under 700 calories, under 40 carbs, under 25 sugars and over 65 Proteins every day. I hope it's enough... I've lost 5 pounds. My surgery is Monday 7/25
