Need Some Motivation!

Hi Everyone,

So my surgery is less than two weeks away - July 18th. I'm hoping some of you can share your weight loss with me as a little motivation! Thanks in advance for helping me out :)

I went from not being able to walk to my mailbox to hiking at dawn with a backpack full of camera gear; from believing that food was my only pleasure in life to understanding that eating well is a pleasure, too; from feeling 80 at the age of 50 to feeling 40 at almost 60; from being almost unable to hold my grandchildren to getting down on the floor with them. At nearly 60 years old I am beginning a second career as a wedding photographer! No one wanted to have this surgery less than me. At 3.5 years out I'm still overweight, still consciously decide every bite that will go in my body, and still proudly think--EVERY SINGLE DAY!!--I never could have done this before! It's a journey! Hard, scary, frustrating, thrilling, and absolutely amazing!! Just do it!!

Amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing, and congrats on your new career! XO

Try to cut your toenails. Now imagine this not being a chore. I still remember holding my breath and straining to get to them. Now I can just sit down with pair of clippers and get them done with no planning required. It's the little things ;-)

Ugh can't wait for that! I'm tired of hoisting my leg up to tie the laces on my sneakers!!! Thank you for sharing :)

I was sleeved 9 months ago and have lost 133 pounds. I am 37 years old and feel like I've been given my life back. It is totally worth it to be able to have the help to get the appetite under control. I have so much energy and ability to go go go and get things done.

Thank you. Just keep in mind everyone loses at different rates so when time comes try to not compare with others. I about made myself nuts doing that in the beginning and had to stop and just focus on doing what I knew to do. Best of luck to you!
