Farts and burps

So my surgery was Monday (june 27) at 10pm. and even though I sip sip sip and walk. all I seem to do is burp. will I ever fart I feel like the major pressure in my stomach is my inability to pass gas. Also my nurse told me not to use Gas x yet .

It took me 4-5 days to fart. And when I did, it was awesome.

  • Yes you will. I burped for 2 days before the fireworks began.

Those little noises, embarrassing companions, but they will start. I do make some interesting sounds sometimes. Thankfully only audible to me.

Are you still taking pain meds? If you are, then it is going to take longer for your intestines to start working properly again.
