Just not hungry

I am having difficulty with my Protein and Water intake in the last couple of weeks. I am 60 days post-op and I have to force myself to put something in my body.

I know I need to and I have been supplementing with shakes, but solids have all of a sudden become a challenge.

Frustrated but hoping it will get better.

It does. I had to force myself for 5 months. It does change and becomes easier with time. Continue to be diligent and get all your Protein and fluids in.

I did not have this problem and thought I was the unlucky one. My hunger returned within 3 days (not head hunger or cravings...true hunger). But I did have a friend who experienced what you are and it helped her to stay on a timed scheduled for consuming liquids and food. She treated food like medicine. She just knew when her alarm sounded, she had to force something down. Eventually it passed and her body adjusted. Hang in there!

I now see food as simply fuel for the body and not something that i really 'enjoy' anymore. Not sure if that's a good thing or bad, but I'm going with it for now. The good thing is, I only choose Protein (yogurt, cheese, shakes) and very little of anything else. So I know that I can at least get the protein in for the day. Water and fluids are still a challenge, but I am hearing that it will happen with time. I just have to get myself through this. Thanks for the support. :)
