iBand - anyone had this?

My surgeon offers a new procedure called iBand. It is the lapband along with gastric plication. I am thinking about doing it instead of just lapband.

The "iBand", is that made by Apple using cheap Chinese labor? If so, I guess every year they will come out with a new model.

  • @@4MRB4PHOTO LOL. Hopefully no new models. And won't have to download new operating software that causes it to have bugs lol.

@ I've never heard of this - is it something that is covered by your insurance? There are some older posts from folks that had this done - you may want to do a search and see how they are doing now.

It is covered by my insurance. Same cost as just lapband. I searched for any post on it and did not find any. It is a newer procedure. Here is a link on it. https://www.weightlosscenterar.com/bariatric-procedures/iband-imbricated-gastric-band-banded-plication.php

No more complications than just lapband and same recovery is why I am thinking about doing it.
