Seriously thinking about this...

So I am seriously considering the Lap band procedure. I am 35 years old and have been about 100 pounds overweight for ten years now. I am getting tired of it and can't seem to find a way to get the weight off.

I have yet to read any of the posts here but I am sure that there will be a lot of information and education to be gleemed from this site.

Best of luck to you all on your journeys.

Joy--

Glad to see you here! If you take advice from strangers I can tell you--DO IT!

I was 29 when I got it done, best thing I ever did in my entire life. I am almost done. It has been great.

Good Luck!

Thanks Brandy for the reply. I am not getting a lot of family support on this so it makes the decision making process even harder. My hubby tries to support me but he would rather see me use more traditional methods of weight loss rather than this. I feel like a hamster caught in it's wheel as I am too tired to exercise at the end of the day and my eating is erratic due to my crazy schedule.

He says ... excuses... maybe he's right.... it's so hard. I am glad that you found success and wish you all the best.

Happy to have you here. I will be banded on Aug 27th. I have done a ton of research and this site has been a great help. They are very supportative and you can find just anything you need to know. Let us know if you need anything.
