Flying Post Op

My surgery is on July 11 in Florida. Will be flying direct to JFK on July 15. I should be good right? Will I need to request a wheelchair or anything at the airport? Did anyone else fly shortly after surgery?

    I flew three days after surgery, I ended up asking for a wheelchair due to the 45 minute connection. It was a good thing because I would have never made it.

    I would ask for a wheelchair just because if you have to walk a long distance in the airport, you might get tired fast and not be able to make it.
