Coffee after Sleeve...

Okay, so I have read all the suggested diet plans for post-op. This may seem silly, but I am most concerned with having to give up coffee. When I don't drink some form of coffee, I get terrible headaches. Did anyone drink coffee after surgery???

It's the only caffeine I consume and I don't count those ounces into my "water" total.

I am a writer, and coffee is a staple of my diet. It was before, and it is now. I didn't drink coffee immediately after surgery; I drink tea with raw local honey in it which has antimicrobial properties that I thought would be good to heal my stomach incisions. But within two weeks was back on regular coffee, the only difference being that I add collagen powder to it. Now on days when I don't move around much because I'm stuck at my desk, The protein powder and coffee seems to really do the trick.

My am coffee is blending into my morning shake. In addition, Starbucks flat white/latte has about 9-12 grams of protein, although it also has some sugar from the milk.
