Any June sleevers out there?

I have finally been cleared and approved for my sleeve surgery!!! I almost had to call it off (rescheduled 2x) after having a minor stroke earlier this month. My surgeon required clearance from a neurologist and I had to go thru a series of tests because of it (echocardiagram, brain MRI, lung CT scan). WHEW!

I'm finally scheduled for June 6 (my birthday is June 3) and I am so ready! One last hoorah this weekend (Memorial Day) although I will still eat smart.

Let's go! WOO-HOO

I had mine on June 1st. I think things are going well so far.

Was much better than expected. My only real pain was gas pain. I'm already walking 30 mins a day (my surgeon's goal after one month). Just make sure to drink as much as you are able to in the first couple of days.

I don't know how start a group but I'm keen!! Can't believe it's tomorrow, so excited and nervous!! Don't know if I'll sleep much tonight.

God bless and good luck to all who are being sleeved today (me included). We will be great!! And thanks to those of you who have been giving us support. Couldn't have done it without you.

I'm done too. Walking every hour and am progressing to 8 oz of liquid per hour. Getting up and down is tricky, but I'm surviving. Hang in there everyone. We'll be great.
