  1. i'm glad to hear i'm not alone. I will not give up as a slow loss is better than no loss. I'm getting my 65+ g of protein plus my water but I guess as I start adding more food back, it will just take a bit longer than I had hoped. Hopefully this will mean less loose skin. ????
  2. I'm 6 weeks out from sleeve. I am losing slowly. I lost 1.7 pounds last week and 1.9 pounds this week. Granted I have 85 pounds to lose but it's hard to be excited when the loss is so slow. Anybody else feeling the same way? A loss is a loss, so that's a good thing. However I thought it would be a little bit more.
  3. If you are near a Kroger, they have carbmaster nonfat chocolate milk. It is low in sugar and has 11 grams of protein and is pretty tasty. That helps for those sweet treat cravings.
  4. To Katchee... I also felt hungry last week but it's getting better. I would swear mine was real hunger but once I got more protein in, I was better. I'm 2 weeks out and starting on soft/pureed foods but finding I can eat everything I've tried with no problems...just eat small bites and small quantities. I feel pretty good about it.
  5. I'm day 12 and starting on soft foods. So far so good. Last night I even went out with friends and had Mexican food. I had a couple bites of guacamole and about half the meat from a taco and didn't have any problems. I felt so decadent! Ha Ha
  6. Day 10 and doing great. Have my first follow-up surgeon visit tomorrow and can't wait to see the results.
  7. I am taking the acid reducer, but at least once a day I feel hunger. I can feel liquids going down and the rumble of food as it is going through my system. I hate the feeling as I want to eat more and faster which I know I can't do.
  8. I'm 8 days out also, and doing well on the full liquids. My only problem is I'm still hungry. I thought that would go away after the surgery. I think I will start pureed Foods this weekend and can't wait.
  9. I'm done too. Walking every hour and am progressing to 8 oz of liquid per hour. Getting up and down is tricky, but I'm surviving. Hang in there everyone. We'll be great.
  10. God bless and good luck to all who are being sleeved today (me included). We will be great!! And thanks to those of you who have been giving us support. Couldn't have done it without you.
  11. Mine is Monday too, and I'm doing ok on the liquid diet. I'm finding the secret is to add protein powder to everything. It's keeping me from getting hungry. And I try to stay as busy as possible so I don't have time to think about it. You and the rest of us on liquids will survive. ????
  12. Hang in there. It seems like it's so far away when you first start and then all of a sudden, boom, it's here.
  13. I started liquids yesterday and am still tweaking the plan. I am more hungry today than yesterday though, I think I need to reschedule when I drink my protein. I think my secret is going to have to be keeping very busy for the next 5 days. I'm not nearly as anxious as I was and this support group is wonderful. It really helps to share the journey.
  14. Thanks for all your replies. It really helps.
  15. I am a week away and I'm getting nervous. Thanks for your comments. it helps to know that I will survive by doing the right thing. I'm just a little anxiety ridden right now.
  16. One week to go, June 6. I'm ready but getting nervous. I start liquid today. I want to be healthy and active again, but am worried about the first couple of weeks. I'm sorta having second thoughts, but not really. Any body else?
  17. Had mine yesterday...piece of cake. Anesthesia is the best sleep I've had. And it goes fast.
