3 days post-op, quick question

Hey y'all! So I was sleeved on Wednesday and I have a quick question: Is it normal to be able to drink around 8 oz of a Protein shake in 30 minutes? I'm still on mostly liquids however I'm starting pureed soon. I'm just worried this is too much since I'm only 3 days post-op. Sorry if this is a stupid question or has already been posted.

Thanks and God bless! :)

it's liquids so it will pass through fairly quickly. I'd guess you're one of those who the swelling is going down more quickly. I was like that too.

are you having pain or discomfort at this pace?

No, I haven't had any pain since I first came out of surgery. My incisions are somewhat uncomfortable but that's about it. Although now that I'm sitting here it's more like an hour, not 30 min to drink it. I guess it just feels faster.

I wasn't able to until after a few weeks but remember others were able to.

I had little trouble drinking any fluids, even cold water! When I saw my surgeon on Thursday for my 1 week post op, i told him how easy it is for me and he said GOOD! I told him my first soft food meal of scrambled eggs went down too easy and he laughed and reminded me that I am used to the lap band fullness I had for 10 years and that is why this seems easier
