I've been craving crunchy too, but popcorn is not something you want to be eating this soon after surgery! It's not about the nutrition, but popcorn has hard pieces that can get caught up in your stap

I agree. I think popcorn is one of the worst choices you could make at three weeks post-op. If you need to crunch something, try sugar-free Popsicle or some crushed ice.

I just started my third week post op and I feel really good. I get full really easy but I feel like I can eat just about anything. I realize inside I am still healing and I can't feel it, but I had some popcorn (dry popped) last night and it didn't seem to bother me. It only has 6 grams of carbs and 33 calories. It was just something because I wanted a "crunch" and figured it's a healthier option. I am not allowed to have raw veggies yet or I would have had celery. Tonight I'm going to try a little chicken.
