3rd week

I just started my third week post op and I feel really good. I get full really easy but I feel like I can eat just about anything. I realize inside I am still healing and I can't feel it, but I had some popcorn (dry popped) last night and it didn't seem to bother me. It only has 6 grams of carbs and 33 calories. It was just something because I wanted a "crunch" and figured it's a healthier option. I am not allowed to have raw veggies yet or I would have had celery. Tonight I'm going to try a little chicken.

I've been craving crunchy too, but popcorn is not something you want to be eating this soon after surgery! It's not about the nutrition, but popcorn has hard pieces that can get caught up in your staple line, which is not yet healed. This can be bad news for your sleeve. My program eventually allows popcorn, but not until month 6.
