I have pcos and its VERY hard to lose weight. I'm afraid I won't be able to lose much, if any, weight during this pre-op diet. Is it a requirement? They have it on record already that I've been trying to lose weight and have been unsuccessful for years.

Give your bariatric surgeon's office a call. They will be able to tell you all of the requirements that are necessary either via your insurance company and/or your surgeon.

I'm not required to lose weight pre-op but it'll depend on your Surgeon and your Insurance if you'll need to.
