I had VSG surgery on 12th November 2013 at Nuffield hospital, Brentwood. Mr Koak carried out my op with a size 28 bougie.
I had the greatest care and no pain or nausea at all. My highest weight was 275 and I'm now 179. I know I could have lost more during the honeymoon period, but I stupidly snacked and boozed. I'm back on track now and although it's harder to lose the weight, it is very possible. I'd like to lose a further 20 pounds. I took out a bank loan for the surgery as the NHS would have paid for a bypass, but I didn't fancy that and I wanted the surgery quickly. This is the best thing I've ever done for myself.
