How much water should I be drinking 10 days post-op?

Hey guys I'm a newby to this so I wanted to get some advice. I'm 10 days post op have had no problems with my puréed diet. The only thing that I have been really frustrated about is how thirsty I am. At first plain Water was horrible couldn't drink it so I watered down Gatorade. I switched the brand for the water (now I'm drinking Evian) and it's better! I used to drink about 6-8 bottles of water a day before surgery ... I was obsessed. Now I'm afraid to drink a lot Incase of vomiting..... It's hard to not drink and eat too. Any tips???

You should be getting 64oz. of fluids a day. My nutritionist said to try to drink 1 oz. every 15 minuteswhile awake. As for avoiding eating and drinking at the same time, I just had to make sure I didn't have water within reach while eating in the beginning. But I eventually got used to it and now I can have a glass of water sitting right there while I'm eating and not touch it. Just takes time to get used to it.

In my bariatric program (I'm 5 weeks post-op) they want us to drink at least 64oz a day sip, sip, sip (counting sugar-free popsicle and liquid Protein as part of 64 oz at least) and stop drinking 30 mins before eating so you can get your protein in and resume drinking 30 min to 1 hour after eating so you don't stretch pouch.
