1 week post op

I had my 1 week post op check-up today and was moved to full liquids for 2 weeks. I'm so happy to not eat broth tonight! Overall I'm feeling ok to almost good. I've been off my pain meds for a few days...only thing bugging me now is the big incision, but that's getting better every day. I went back to work yesterday and managed pretty well. I'm getting my liquids in, now it's time to start getting in the Protein.

Today is the best I've felt since having the surgery...today is probably the first day I don't have the "buyers remorse" thoughts. I was pretty happy to see that I was down 22 lbs overall from my highest weight. :)

My big incision continued to bother me for the first few weeks. About week three I would have an occasional strange sensation that felt like something tearing under the incision and after than happened a few times the pain went away completely.

It sounds like you are doing really well. Just make sure to listen to your body and don't overdo! Also, make sure you keep yourself well hydrated.
